Kam Kook Yuen Cured Meat Shop was established in 1924 and officially opened its doors for business at 99 Wing Hing Street, Sheung Wan. This long-established establishment has been jointly operated by four families ever since. When Mr. Leung Po Tong of the Leung family opened the first Kowloon branch at 598 Shanghai Street, Mong Kok, and subsequently relocated it in 1962 to 658 Nathan Road, he kickstarted a transformative new chapter for Kam Kook Yuen, spreading its name even further.
